The Lite 2 has a new sleek, pocket sized design. Measuring only 110mm high x 21mm deep x 46mm wide and weighing less 150 grams (including batteries), it can be discretely carried in a pocket or handbag.

Any Limit in Ireland, Scotland or the rest of the UK

The AlcoSense™ Lite 2 reads across all limits currently used in the UK and Ireland and the don’t drive alert can be adjusted by the user to any of those limits.

Easy to Understand Results

AlcoSense™ Lite 2 shows your level of intoxication in ‰BAC (per mille blood alcohol content) in increments of 0.1 (If you require a more detailed readout or in mg/L please see the AlcoSense™ Elite 3).

The AlcoSense™ Lite 2 even alerts you when you are close to or over the user-set drink drive limit.

Sleek Pocket-Sized Design

The AlcoSense™ Lite 2 comes from the same design team that developed the AlcoSense Excel, Pro and Ultra, winners of the 2018 German Design Award and the 2016 Red Dot Product Design Award. Pocket sized, it can discretely be kept anywhere. AlcoSense™ Lite 2 measures only 110mm (height) x 45mm (width) x 21mm (depth). It is powered by 3 x AAA batteries meaning that you can use it anywhere at any time.

Easy Maintenance and Recalibration Alerts

The AlcoSense™ Lite 2 has an ASC feature, manually selected by the user, which is a deep clean of the sensor and should be undertaken periodically to remove contaminents like residue and oxidisation from the sensor.

The Lite 2 now also features a calibration reminder after 12 months or 300 tests so you can easily remember to have your breathalyser recalibrated and ensure ongoing accuracy.

Use it Again & Again

Using the latest semi-conductor sensor technology and innovations AlcoSense™ Lite 2 can be used up to 300 times between calibrations meaning you will never be caught short. Please note, the Lite 2 does not actively clear residual alcohol from the sensor after each test meaning that you must wait 5 minutes between tests. If you wish to test more frequently than this please consider one of our models higher up the range.

Purchased the AlcoSense Lite 2 after buying a super cheap non-branded breathalyser. The latter gave totally unreliable and inconsistent results, the AlcoSense is reliable, clearly well made, easy to use with clear and well-written instructions.
Excellent product, would buy again.

Purchased the Alcosense Lite 2 from Amazon last week. Product arrived well packaged. Opened the box, read the instruction booklet and within a short time had the breathalyser working. Instructions were clean and easy to follow. I have tested the breathalyser and found it works as described giving clear readings within a few minutes. Quality of the product materials is also very good. Doesn’t ‘feel’ or look cheap. Very pleased with my Purchase.

I purchased the Lite 2 after reading various reviews and comparing the product information on the AlcoSense website.
The website was very easy to compare models to help you decide whats best for you. I ended up going for the Lite2. I really only need it to tell me the BAC% and if I am over the limit.

Product works well, only downside is it isnt set to the UK drink drive limit by default. You need to change this in the settings.

Two weeks in, the product has worked well. It does require a yearly calibration at a cost so something to bear in mind.

This is not my first breathalyser, but I have built up confidence with the Alco Sense brand. The Lite 2 takes a little longer to initialise than my previous Elite model, but not irritatingly so. An improvement which could be made is as follows:

With the Lite 2 you blow into the tube on the side, so you can’t see the displayat the same time, although there is a little bleep when you have blown into the unit sufficiently, I have a hearing disability so I don’t always pick this up. A small vibration or light would be useful. A great help when you’re not too sure the morning after.

I have had alcohol problems in the past, and I'm not out of the woods yet. However, having started to do volunteer work post-retirement, I've been open with the management at my place of work. This device has allowed me to demonstrate my sobriety, which I volunteered to do, and it has allowed the management to have confidence that I am not under the influence when I turn up for work. Compact, reliable product. The only drawback is the relatively high cost of sending it back for recalibration, amounting to more than half the cost of the device itself. Other than that, a top product.

I just bought the Alcosense Lite 2 and boy, do I already love it!
I researched a lot on breathalysers and this one seemed to be great value for money. I have used it the next morning after a night out. Very easy to use. I am not giving the full 5 stars because of the setup of the drink drive alert level. There is no "Off" option as per the leaflet and nothing that actually tells you it is set up (you just have to scroll through all the options and the last one you pick is the one it is set up at), but all in all, great product at a very reasonable price.
I also contacted their support and received my answer very promptly.

HI Guys, I bought this product, after reading all the info, It seams to be better than , Making a Guess.
On delivery, I read the instructions, Accuracy -+ or- 0-2% Bac, Does that mean the accuracy is between 0-196 and 0-204, if that is the case , you have created a instrument that is extremly accurate and trust worthy, Scottish laws ar much tighter than in england.

Clear instructions for its use and maintenance and a very useful explanation of how alcohol is absorbed and its consequences. As for the product, I believe it gives very accurate results as I tested it the day after consuming the same level of alcohol on 3 occasions. I also tested the same number of hours after finishing drinking. The results were exactly the same! Almost unbelievable, but my methodology was strict so I’m happy to endorse the product.

Haven’t had the product for very long however set up was quick and easy and breathalyser works well. Only problem I have had so far is when I press the button to set the drink drive alert level to off it skips the off option and goes straight from 0.8 to 0.2 however this is not a big issue for me.

Haven't used too much yet, but a test seemed to go well, although I would have thought I'd be a lot further over the limit based on what I'd drunk and how I felt and it said I was only just on the limit. At least it still advised me not to drive. If buying again would get one with the ability to predict when you're fit to drive.

Only used it once, all seems to be working. You don't get many blow tubes, and apparently they're only 1 use, though can't really see why? I found the initial set up confusing as it wasn't displaying the setting number for the alcohol limit. But hopefully if its accurate, it will be a good purchase. Nice little piece of tech.

Watched the movie Another Round, and after one thing led to another, my pals picked this up for me for my birthday - slightly odd I know. Nice neat little gadget, mainly used so far for checking how ‘drunk’ everyone is on a lads night, but more importantly used the morning after to check everyone is safe to travel home. Wish it had a shorter ‘cool-down’ period between uses, but it is perfectly usable.

This piece of equipment is really handy to have when you have an 18 year old son who likes a drink but then tries to convince you he's ok to drive the next morning.

Have only tested it so far, but from the test blows so far it seems to work. But yet to use it for real. But remember this is advertised as the morning after monitor. In the instructions it does say something like 9 hours after your last drink. So I’m not sure how useful this will be as I want it for what probably 99% of people want it for and that’s to check at the time.

I bought the Alcosense Lite 2 after reading (generally) good reviews on Amazon. You do have to be careful to only use a new tube each time and you need to ensure that you only test at appropriate times after the consumption of alcohol. (We tested too early once and it gave a LO rating, but this was definitely not an accurate reading! When we did it at an appropriate time after reading, it worked.) Very reasonably priced.

It's very easy and straightforward to use. It comes with a decent number of tubes in the box. The battery lasts a long time and we've had no issues when using it. It does need calibrating after a little while which costs £25 to do, so that's the reason for only 4 stars.

AlcoSense Lite 2 Breathalyzer has a great value to the price ratio. Accuracy of a +/- 0.2 is a bit wide range, so if you look for a precise device this one is not it. However, if you prefer not drive with any alcohol in your system this device will fulfill it's purpose just right.

Device comes with no case. I would recommend to get some sort of case to keep tubes with the device and safe from dust etc.

Great product with a variable breath limit, great for checking to make sure you’re not over after a heavy night out. With a tolerance range of +/-0.2 on top of the reading, follow it and you should never find yourself driving over the limit. Of course such products are a guide only and cannot be relied upon for legal protection but using it before you drive, gives you an indication of whether or not you should drive. Purchased this product for trips to Europe and generally driving in the UK in order to ensure I am okay to drive the following morning. Easy to use and quality product. I also purchased the soft case which keeps everything including the tubes together.

Only minor issue is that the plastic tubes can be difficult to insert into the device, otherwise all good quality build and product.

Handy when you want a cheeky one and not sure as you have the car with you. Was little concerned with accuracy as after 4 pints of cider and a shot of whiskey, 45min later it showed I was only 0.03. Having used the alcosense Lite for many years, the time for a new one has come. Excellent trade in policy £10 for old unit, unfortunately with the post as it is I didn't think it was worth the risk to wait. So went straight to Halfords and got one off the shelf. More than happy with the new upgraded version, can drive with confidence again.

I bought the Alossense lite 2 unit as it appeared to be a hot buy. The purpose was to check that I am safe to drive if I have had a drink. I was hoping that the unit would give the reading in mg%. It gives the reading as Safe, borderline or not safe. Helpful but not much as I had hoped.
Anyone looking to buy one of these should be clear in what they want to see.

I bought the Lite 2 for those occasions where you drink quite late and want to be sure you are clear of alcohol the next day before you drive. I found the instructions quite clear and as long as you follow them properly, its fast and easy to use. Its also very clear about adding 0.2% to the reading to be on the safe side. The point of these units is not to see if you are just under the limit...Its to be cautious and only ever drive when its says LOW. I would recommend this and is reasonable value for money too.

We previously had an Alcosense SE which we were very happy with. When it needed recalibration, we noticed we could get a trade in discount on a new one, so the overall cost was only an extra £10. Arranged thus online, returned the old one and very quickly the new one arrived. Just as happy, excellent product. We would never drive after a drink at night, but the morning after can, from past experience still be over the limit, so a very worthwhile investment. We set ours to alarm at 0.2 well within the English limit to be on the very safe side. Highly Recommended

This is an update on my previous post, which was founded upon my not finding the 'secret compartment' 'hiding' the six tubes. The response from the firm was courteous and helpful.
Yesterday, I used the unit for the first time: the booklet was very well written, the instructions were clear (even on first reading), and the background information illuminating.
I do not give advice, but would recommend the unit whenever appropriate.

I bought the AlcoSense Lite 2 a few days ago and I am most impressed. I tried it out over 2 days to test its performance and it does exactly what it says it does. It is small, well built and easy to operate. There is an easy-to-follow small instruction booklet. I drive for a living so I cannot afford mistakes. If I have a glass of wine with my meal the night before for instance, I test the following morning to ensure I am fit and safe to drive. The AlcoSense Lite 2 provides this information perfectly.

I like the product and it seems to work pretty well. It is a shame that the carry case is an extra cost. I didn't realise that I would receive six tubes with the device and then be offered more for free when I got it. The purchase of another twenty was a bit premature. I can't help thinking throwing the tubes away is environmentally unfriendly and there would be instructions on how to wash them. Setting up the country using a switch under the battery cover is a bit fiddly and there seems to be no other way to check the current setting. The instructions could be clearer.

Impulse buy as I was driving to France and wanted the reassurance of next day driving after social drinking. Small, easy to use and good reviews. I have not bought before as I had assumed that a decent one would be hundreds of pounds but media reviews applaud accuracy but having said that I would not drive unless the reading was at lo which means low or zero.

I bought this for my Monday night outings, I play pool/billiards every week and instead of having to rely on my 2 pint drink limit, I can now accurately monitor my limit, I tested it earlier today and can confidently agree with the results, granted I tested this knowing I wasn't driving today but I'm as safe as I can and knowing I can now rely on my Lite 2 for readings, but I also understand we have to be cautious aswell, Drink Driving is no joke.

Because of an odd breathalyser test (when I had had no alcohol for 5 days, yet showed a level of 16mu) I wanted to test myself regularly. This kit agrees that I have low, no, or trace, alcohol, which is good, but doesn’t give a figure, which would have been ideal. Still, it does seem to do what most people would want of it, and it’s not expensive.

Instructions were very clear and easy to setup. Came with some blow tubes included so no need to buy extra straight away. Tested it a few hours after a night out as per the instructions and reading was high (as expected) with a warning not to drive. Tested again the morning after feeling completely fine and reading showed (Lo)w. Very handy piece of kit and would highly recommend to make sure you stick to the rules.

easy to use, compact and reassuring product. great value for money when you consider the potential consequences of driving the morning after and unknowingly being over the limit to drive. do make sure that you push the blow tube fully home into the sensor unit ensuring that it is tightly gripped by the sensor unit . there should be no movement of the blow tube relative to the sensor unit when the tube is pushed fully home.

I recently purchased one of the above alcohol sensors, what a simple to use and well made product! Amazingly easy to use with a non complicated screen readout. Initial setup takes a few minutes the first time, but once done it's ready to go. For those people who DO NOT read instructions, the addition of a warning, perhaps somewhere prominent, on the need to do the initial setup for correct readings.

It was not only very easy to set up it was also self explanatory when it comes to knowing what to do. It came with 6 blow tubes. If you have any alcohol and you use a car, it's a godsend especially for the 'morning after' drinking. It's very easy to use and very accurate, it's a marvelous bit of kit to test at home before you get in the drivers seat. If you've had any alcohol at any time and you're wanting to drive, this is certainly worth the money and importantly it will save lives.

I bought the Alco Sense Lite 2 to replace an older model Alco Sense Lite which had given up the ghost. The new unit is a vast improvement on the previous model. It feels sturdy, comfortable in the hand, and the one button operation is simplicity itself. I also like the way it counts down to when it requires re calibration. A reassuring feature.

This has everything you need for a first long term sensor. It doesn’t measure in the ml given in the UK limited, but in BAC instead although it is still set for the UK and the instructions tell you what digits you should expect to see to be at a safe alcohol limit.
A couple of us tested this prior to drinking, after drink, then after a few hours and the readings mirrored our progress correctly.
I trust this product and recommend it as great value for money.

Just acquired this to keep in the car for Ireland and travel in Europe. Some confusion over measurement figures being per litre as limits are given as 0.05 on websites but that is per 100 mls so that works out at 0.5 per 1000/litre. Still safer to nit drink at all when driving but good to have check in morning after.

A great entry level device. A friend was prosecuted and lost her license the morning after a night out. She felt fine and had no idea she was over the limit. There was a nice surprise in the box ... a voucher for 20 blow tubes for leaving a review, so here's a review! Sadly, for me, I had straightaway bought some tubes on Amazon before seeing the voucher!

I haven't used the device yet, but I think it's a great thing to have. My only question is ... it looks like right-handers will cover up the button and screen with the palm of their hands when blowing into the device.

I have had various of these over the years from cheap non reliable key ring versions to some more expensive when they started becoming handlheld large units but this one is a a good size and very impressed with the quality. The cost is very palatable and straws are cheap for the number of times I and indeed some friends have needed to use it when driving next day to ensure We are under the very low Scottish limit!

I bought a "lite II" after (for curiosity's sake) using my Brother's older machine on Boxing Day I would not have been fit to drive until well into the afternoon. I used my new box of tricks to test my self imposed limit, it showed that I have a significant safety margin against prosecution even if I drove in Scotland. The machine is simple to use and has a nice bright display. If you live in Scotland or other lower limit country a machine like this is essential for the morning after.

Decided to buy this breathalyser as it appeared to be good quality for a very reasonable price. Like most people I just want peace of mind that I am not over the limit the morning after, also am planning a driving holiday through France where it is mandatory to have one in your car. The build quality is very good and the instructions are clear and concise.

Just bought the alcosense lite 2. I tried it the morning after a few beers, i felt fine to drive, but after using the breathalyser, it alerted me that i was still over the limit, needless to say, no driving for the rest of the day. Great gadget!

I was given this by my wife as a birthday present
For the simple reason that I don’t drink very much even when I am the very rare non driver.
The logic being that I am wasting the non driving opportunity by not drinking enough,!
Very nice piece of kit, simple to setup and use.
Great to check you levels after a few lunchtime drinks before driving later.
Always drive safe.

Easy enough to use. Just a bit confused about having to use a switch in the battery compartment. When I opened the compartment I couldn't find a switch. With an accuracy of +/-0.2% and a U.K. limit of 0.8%, it's possibly 25% inaccurate. This is a guide and not to be taken as gospel

Purchased this product a week ago and really impressed. A family member used to have the Elite version which was very chunky (and noisy!) and the Lite 2 is very sleek and not as loud!
It provides a reading within seconds, is small enough to keep in your car or bag for those moments when it's best to be safe than sorry! Would highly recommend.

I just opened the packet and read the instructions. It is so simple to use and yesterday I was out for lunch and had a beer. I wouldn't normally drive after 1 beer. My daughter was stuck and needed a lift later in the evening. I tested and blew 0.3 so instead of getting her a taxi I was able to confidently get her myself. I will be recommending this to my colleagues.

Seems to be just as good as the Elite I had before. Lent that to a friend who promptly lost it but he was so impressed he bought two of these, one to replace the one he lost. I doubt there is much difference between the two but, its always nice to have the latest model.

I had the previous lite model and decided to replace it with the new lite 2. Easy to set up and I really like the new design with it larger screen making the readings easy to read.
